The bark is removed and the natural edge is smoothened.
Our live edge wood board is planed all around and sanded to 180 grit. Knots and splits are filled with black colour wood filler to enhance the unique character.
Your chosen Oak wood board width size will be the minimum size (measuring the top/good side of the board) and will be wider in some places depending on the features of the live edge.
Naturally, the rustic wood slab pattern, colour, and character will vary from the ones in the images.
If you require a custom-size cut plank of wood, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
The three remaining edges will be square. If you require both long-side live edges, please also let us know before ordering.

Oak wood quality - Rustic, character Grade B/C.
Moisture Content – 8-12%.
Drying Method – Kiln-dried timber.
Origin – Central Europe.
Suitable for: furniture making, cut-to-size shelves, kitchen, bathroom or book shelving, kitchen worktops, bathroom vanity countertops, window sills, joinery projects, fireplace mantels, and much more.

This product is a Rustic grade solid Oak Live edge wood plank, which means that the wood board will have a unique character, some knots, and splits which will be filled with the special black colour wood filler to enhance the exclusive Oak slab features.

The board is kiln-dried with 8-12% moisture in it, ready to be worked with. Wider than 400mm boards will be biscuit joined with other matching boards assuring the closest possible matching look and texture, and glued, to achieve stability, and avoid future bending. The number of jointed boards will depend on the required width. Wood plank then will be sanded to 180 grit - ready to take a finishing product of your choice.
